Many families joined us at one of our lending libraries for the March Family Fun Event. Children built their very own bear and received the book, Bear About Town. A map and small plastic bear were also supplied so children could have hands-on fun retelling the story. To extend this idea into our own community, maps of Kalkaska or Rapid City were provided as well. All of our preschool children who make a trip to the Post Office and County Library (Kalkaska) or Post Office and Cone Corral (Rapid City) will receive a special sticker to adhere to their map. They can bring their completed map into one of our libraries to receive another free book.
