Children Returning Build-a-Bear Maps!

As part of our March 2008 Build-a-Bear event all of our preschool children who make a trip to the Post Office and County Library (Kalkaska) or Post Office and Cone Corral (Rapid City) received special stickers to adhere to their map. If they returned the completed map to our office, they received a free book. Here is a photo of one family returning their map:

Sensory Bags to Go Home to Preschoolers

As part of Open Court's Unit Six, Senses, Kalkaska CARES will be sending sensory bags home to all our preschool students. Bags at Birch Street went home the last week of March. In Rapid City, the bags will be going home the first week of April. The kits include a bag filled with small items to explore using their senses.

Make-and-Take Activities Continue

Rapid City Elementary

WHEN: First Wednesday of each month, from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.

These photos were of April's Make and Take that focused on senses. Our preschool students are studying senses as part of their Open Court unit.
