Literacy is Happening in Mrs. Haveman's MSRP Classroom!

Classroom News

The library is an important part of our preschool classroom. Here children can explore books on their own and read with friends. The preschoolers in Mrs. Haveman's room spend a good deal of time in the library during free choice. Comfortable bean bags, child-sized chairs, tables, and plenty of books make the library a fun place for children to develop a love of reading.

Students often "read" books to each other. Children can retell events of a familiar story or make up their own.

Reading with the big books give students a chance to be the teacher.
